Kent Wedding Photography
Zarina and Matthew Wedding was a wonderful emotional day from early morning where I started to get pictures at the Bride’s place, to late evening during the reception. The Wedding Ceremony and Wedding Reception were held at the beautiful and charming Bickley Manor Hotel, Kent.

It was an enjoyable long day, full of emotions and unique moments, and I really enjoyed every minute of it. I approached this Wedding as a photojournalist wedding photographer, trying to record the story and the emotions of this special day, for sure I took many formal wedding pictures as well but the most of them were not driven.
The weather that day was quite cloudy but variable so we were lucky to also have some sun while taking the wedding formal pictures, i had to change the camera settings quite often and fast in order to keep the right exposure for any light variations.
I use my camera mostly in manual mode so I need to be very careful about the light in the scene. Almost all the wedding location pictures were taken fro 100 iso to 400 iso, while the wedding indoor pictures were taken from 400 to 3200 iso. I often use 1600 to 3200 iso indoor just because I always try to avoid the use of the flash if possible, and if it’s not possible I try to bounce it on a wall or ceiling or any available surface, ambient light is always better in terms of colours rendition than flash light.
So, do I never use the flash? Well, I use the flash a lot, but it’s rare I use it as main light, I use it mainly as fill light, to open the shadows or to balance a dark foreground against a very bright background.
In the gallery below there are few pictures taken that day.
